Analysis

Staff associate with each other outside work.
There is a friendly atmosphere and a high standard of courtesy.
Staff  'cover-up' for those who are unprofessional in their work.
Warehouse staff are more 'robust' in their behaviour towards each other.
A few of the long-serving members of staff are reluctant to talk to junior staff.

Evaluation
There is a more friendly and cohesive environment compared with competitors.
The adventure course for getting members of different departments to 'bond' was a disaster.
The 'staff personality of the month' award is divisive and does more harm than good.

Strategy
Try to get staff to be less tolerant of unprofessional behaviour in colleagues.

Produce guidelines for what is preferred and also what is unacceptable behaviour by staff.
Ensure that managers give a lead as to how others should be treated.
