The
Deliverables Aspect
The
efforts of the organization result in products, services or both.
There are many different types of deliverables, but they can be
categorized as follows.
Extracted
products
- harvested from the environment, such as bulk food, oil, coal, timber and
fish.
Manufactured products
- comprising finished products, such as cars, washing machines,
furniture and food products, or components such as motors, pumps and screws.
Intangibles
-
related to intellectual property, such as information, computer software, text,
designs, or electronically transmitted sound and images.
Services
- performed for
the benefit of a customer or client, such as providing a meal, designing a logo
or lending money. A service is also
often provided in conjunction with a product, such as installing and maintaining
it.
